Guatemala is a part of the Mayan community and has amazing ancient historical sites such as Tikal. (Filmed in Star Wars). Guatemala has a proud culture which reflects their Mayan and Spanish influence. There are many volcanoes (37 in total), rugged mountains, and beaches to explore the Guatemala’s beauty
Antigua
Guatemala is the centre of Mayan cities built by their late ancestors, pyramids of stone abandoned and left to be overtaken by the wild. Tikal ruins are perhaps the foremost famous all told of Guatemala since they're said to reflect the civilization when it had been at its peak. Tikal has also been featured in Star Wars. There are other breath taking Mayan ruins that be found at Iximché, Quiriguá and Yaxhá.

Guatemala has stunning scenery with volcanos overlooking in the background, Guatemala is also home to Central America’s highest peak – the towering Tajumulco. Hiking an active volcano is one of the attractions that bring tourists to Guatemala. The most active volcano in Central America is the Volcán de Fuego that many tourists observe its eruptions and the view is definitely worth seeing.
Volcan Pacaya
Lake Atitlan is the deepest lake in Central America and was formed by a collapsed volcano. It is surrounded by Volcanoes and Mayan Villages such as San Juan La Laguna and San Pedro. The lake will blow you away with its amazing view.
