Playa Del Carmen

Playa del Carmen, the last place on my personal travel plan and the start of a group tour. It is a popular coastal resort on the state of Quintana Roo, with a cruise ship ride away from the island of Cozumel. 

On the arrival to playa del carmen, got off the coach and straight into a taxi that went directly to the hotel that I was staying in which is located downtown, with a ten minute to the beach and the main avenue. The taxi ride was quick and reasonably priced.

The family-owned hotel is calm and quiet inside despite the bustling city outside. The room was very big, AC unit and a comfy king bed. The beach is walkable and all downtown Playa del Carmen. There is a little pool outside for use, it is not a typical hotel but a great option for somewhere nice to stay in a perfect location for the cost. 

There are many restaurants to be able to pick from, whether it was downtown, the fifth avenue or along the beach. One of the nights I went downtown and went to a sushi restaurant and tried two different sushi’s. The sushi’s was so tasty, considering it was my first-time eating sushi. I loved it. I also opted for a free dessert that comes with a coffee which was the perfect end to the meal 

On one day I visited the beach, it is a pleasant ten-minute walk to the beach. Although the beach being lovely, it wasn’t as beautiful beaches that are in Isla Mujeres and Cancún. The beach was rather empty considering the beautiful weather, the beach was rather clean which is always pleasant to see. The sea was calm and a beautiful turquoise colour. Although, there was little of seaweed that affected the beach, it is definitively worth visiting 

A couple of days before I start my group tour of Mexico, Guatemala and belize. I decided to visit the other popular island of Cozumel. Cozumel is the biggest island out them all on the Quintana Roo state. AS IT WAS A guided tour I was picked up outside the hotel by a minibus and was taken to the main avenue where the ferry terminal is located. The ferry terminal is a lot bigger than isla mujeres also it had security come from and out of Cozumel. The ferry ride to Cozumel was about 45 minutes. It had music entertainment on the ferry while it rocked side to side
